Professor Justin Magee is the Principal Investigator for Future Island-Island.
This is one of the four Green Transition Ecosystems, part of the Future Observatory: Design the Green Transition Programme, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (£4.6 million, AHRC, 2023-25).
Justin is a distinguished academic at Ulster University and a leading expert in design innovation and knowledge exchange for physical products, digital systems and usability. His applied research across additive manufacture and immersive technologies delivers enhanced user experiences with NetZero gains. He leads a multidisciplinary team of experts providing community-engaged approaches to sustainable research and technologies.
