Dr Sharon Prendeville is Deputy Associate Dean (Research and Innovation) at Loughborough University, London.
Her expertise is at the intersection of design innovation, sustainability/environmental movements, and democratic innovation. She has been a researcher, practitioner, or advisor on diverse projects working with business, policy, and community stakeholders, including presenting evidence to inform eco-design policy to the European Commission. She was invited Chair of Conversations at DRS2018. Most recently, she led the Arts-and-Humanities Research Council-funded ‘Counter-Framing Design’ (AH/T002875/1)investigating the politics of design framing practices in environmental social movements pursuing a ‘new economics’. She is currently working on a monograph on the topic of resource extractivism and circular design.
