Jahid is the Senior Economic Regeneration Officer at the London Borough of Newham.
Jahid is a dynamic leader who co-developed Newham’s Green Economy Strategy, securing the UKRI Net Zero Living grant. He shaped innovative engagement approaches, driving essential behaviour change through training, systems thinking, and process improvement. Jahid managed a £40m budget for LB Newham's Levelling Up Fund, overseeing projects like Canning Town Old Library's transformation into a state-of-the-art Heritage Centre. With strategic relationships at LLDC, UCL, and Stratford East Bank, Jahid promotes responsible research, diversity, and effective change in local government. His pivotal role in the Green Economy Transition Research Project has elevated Newham's commitment to sustainability and transition initiatives.
Jahid serves as the non-academic partner for the HairCycle project as part of the Design Exchange Partnership Round 2.
