Deborah Barker FRSA, works at the intersection of fashion, textiles and agriculture and is co-founder of the South East England Fibreshed, partner in the Future Fashion Landscapes project.
From her studio Field & Folk in rural East Sussex she collaborates with farmers and independent designers. She is managing a three year farmer to farmer mentoring and events program for Pasture for Life to support farmers to transition to regenerative grazing.
Recent projects with SEEF include co-creating the Farming Fashion: Wool, a guide to localising our clothing system and encouraging collaboration between farmers and designers. She is leading a national project funded by DIRT to understand the potential for increasing the availability and quality of wool from biodynamic farms.
